Feedburner is a great tool / website to manage and control your RSS feed. I've already written an article before on how you can promote your feed to the max using a signature. Today, I'm going to show you how you can show-off the number of feed readers subscribed to your feed in your own, beautiful way.

Many bloggers use the FeedCount from Feedburner to show how many readers are subscribed to their blog. I'm pretty sure you'll have seen the following image around the net (several times):

Although you can change the color and animation style, I can't really say the chicklet is very pretty. Here's the way to show your feedcount the way you want to.

To use this technique, you'll need an account at Feedburner and a webhost that supports PHP and GD.

Hi! I passed the "550 (stable) feed readers" border last week, so I decided to give my beloved visitors an update of the website. I changed a couple of things to improve the site. One of the things you probably noticed already, is the different kind of lay-out.

It was as if the website knew where I came from. I wanted to know to code behind this.

I did some research and found out how you can find the referring website with a PHP variable. The mfReferral Joomla! module uses this technique too.

Check where your visitors came from & give them a nice, personal message. This way, you'll have a more interactive & personal site. By doing this, you can kindly ask your visitors to do something, like give you a digg when they came from Digg.com. Ask them if they found what they were looking for, if they came from Google.
