Delivering responsive images with Drupal

About the author:
Garry Smith is a seasoned writer that is professionally dedicated to CSS Chopper, a premier web development and outsourcing company. The organization is fortified with qualified developers for Magento, e-commerce technologies etc. to render outstanding business solutions.

For most web developers, delivering the images to the low-bandwidth mobile devices could not be less than any brain teaser, where they feel like they have been stuck in a complex task, just like searching a needle in the dry haystack!

Well, it could screw-up the brain! Even the developers, who are well-acquainted with responsive web design techniques, know that by setting the max-width of the images up to 100%, can't resolve this issue as the server will still render big size image to the user's phone. The mobile optimized web applications are designed to run smoothly for the low bandwidth connection with formatting according to the screen of the device.

Delivering responsive images with Drupal

So with this blog, I intend to alleviate your pain involved in the job of providing responsive images with Drupal CMS. The blog offers sheer guidance for devs, where they can obtain the detailed information of the procedures explained with the help of useful images. Read the blog as it provides a solution for having Drupal website for bandwidth starved mobile devices.

Looking back at 2011

Welcome to 2012 everybody! I hope you had a great Christmas time and enjoyed New Year's eve. Just like last year, I wanted to look back at my own blog to see what took place.

Sadly, I wasn't able to post a lot this year due to personal circumstances. Yet, I'm pretty sure that all the posts that I did place are true, high quality unique articles that you might be able to use for your next web project since they were mainly about jQuery, CSS3 or HTML5. I really hope you liked reading the articles on Marcofolio.net for the last year!

Looking back at 2011

As for 2012, I hope to write more articles than past year. I might write more Quick Tips; Shorter articles, but those that contain extremely useful tips/code snippets that you might use. And in case you haven't seen it on Twitter yet, this was the Christmas card my girlfriend and I made for this year.

I wish you all the best for 2012 and let's check some articles placed here last year.

Looking back at 2010

This is it: The last day of 2010! Normally, the last post of the year on Marcofolio would be a "Best of the Best" round-up (see 2008 and 2009), but for this year, I wanted to look back at my own blog.

This was the year where I created only 32 article (the least I created in the past years), but I'm pretty sure all of them are true high quality articles (no imagedumps, list posts etc.). Most of them are web dev related, about jQuery, CSS3 or HTML5. I really hoped you liked reading the articles on Marcofolio.net for the last year!

Looking back at 2010

I have nothing left to say except to wish you a safe and joyful new year's eve and I hope to see you back (with all your fingers) in 2011! Check out this Christmas/New years card from me and my girlfriend, wishing this to everybody in the world.

Now let's take a look back at Marcofolio over the past year.

How you can prevent an SQL injection

About the author:
The write up has been done by Joanna who works with WebHostingSearch and has been been part of web industry from quite some time now.

How you can prevent an SQL injection

An SQL Injection (also known as "Failure to Preserve SQL Query Structure") is one of the most common and most dangerous security issues. SQL injections are dangerous because they are a door wide open to hackers to enter your system through your Web interface and to do whatever they please - i.e. delete tables, modify databases, even get hold of your corporate network. SQL injections are a programming error and they have nothing to do with your web site hosting provider. So, if you have been searching for a secure JSP hosting, PHP hosting or any other type of web hosting packages, you need to know that prevention of an SQL injection is not a responsibility of your web site hosting provider but of your web developers.

Best of the Best: 2009

A little bit of sad news; This will be the last post on Marcofolio on 2009. I'm going to Austria for two weeks and enjoy a winter sport vacation. But don't worry, I'm planning on finishing this year with another great article.

Just like last year, I contacted several (web)design bloggers and asked them the following question: Could you provide me with the URL of what you think is the best article that you wrote in the past year (2009)? If you do, please add a short description why you found that article the best one. As you can imagine, this post is a round up with the actual best posts from the past year from several great blogs.

Best of the Best: 2009

I have nothing left to say except to wish you a safe and joyful new year's eve and I hope to see you back (with all your fingers) in 2010! Check out this Christmas card from me and my girlfriend, wishing this to everybody in the world.

Now let's see what the people behind the blogs consider to be their best article from the past year. Smashing Magazine has two entries, but I allowed them since they're from different authors.

Flash Web Roundup

The launch of the Flash platform, was perhaps the greatest revolution the world of the Internet has seen to date. One of the determinant factors is the high success on the rate of deployment in any browser from any OS. Its success is due also to the constant updating and development of new frameworks, API's as also the effort that Adobe and Community dedicated to show their experiences through the tutorials, whether through demonstrations and source codes. That is exactly what we are going to show today: Tutorials and experiments that will help to improve your skills.

Best of the Best: 2008

Christmas days are over and everybody is getting ready for the new year. The past year has been very moving for (web)designers and developers: Loads of innovative articles and technology saw the daylight in 2008. The superb webbrowser Firefox gave birth to version 3.0 on 16th of December, a new social networking site dedicated to design called DesignBump came to life in 2008, Apple introduces the new MacBooks etc. etc. etc.

With all those great blogs out there, there has to be loads and loads of quality content written in the past year. But what is actually the best post from 2008 from those sites? To who can I ask that question better than the actual owners / authors of those great blogs.

Best of the Best: 2008

I've contacted several blog owners and asked them the following question: What do you think is the best article you wrote in 2008? This article rounds up the best articles from 2008, placed on the best blogs out there (Only listing those that actually replied).

Here we go: The Best Of the Year 2008 (in a nutshell)!
