Great releases...

Quick question. Since Joomla! has the source images normally inserted as...

src=\"http://www.mysite.com/images/stories/example_image.jpg\"

Do you simply substitute /images/stories/example_image.jpg in the html to:

src=\"http://www.mysite.com/{mfreflex example_image.jpg}\"

I was a bit confused about whether you add that directly into the html and/or whether you still have to have images/stories before the {mfreflex image_name} line.

Not sure if I explained my question right, but I thought I would give it a shot. I am using Joomla! 1.5 in legacy mode by the way. Installed no problem.

Great mods too... keep up the wonderful work.

Thanks!

Great to see a lot of effects with your plugins. BTW, why not to combine all the effects into a single plugin?

I also opt for Joomla 1.5. Ha... legacy mode is not appreciated by me... so a native Joomla 1.5 plugin please.

Hello WC Leung,

I didn\'t want to combine all scripts in 1, since some users only want 1 script and not all. I\'ll make one mambot later with all the scripts for those users who want it.

A Joomla! 1.5 plugin will come when I have more 1.5 experience, since it\'s pretty new to me.

Hope you like the script.

No, just the filename

No, you don\'t add the full directory.

The mambot automatically uses the \"/images/stories/\" folder. If you have an image in the \"images/stories\" folder, just use the filename.

Example:
On the FTP:
\"/images/stories/photo/photo1.jpg\"
Mambot code:
{mfreflex photo/photo1.jpg}

Good luck.

Thanks for the mambots! It is not easy to pick one out, the\'re all great!

One question though: It would be nice if it allows full pathnames/urls to the image. With this extra option one could use: {mfGlossy {mosimage}} or any other image generating mambot within the mf-mambot. I have no idea if it is feasable... But hey, if one does not ask... :whistle:

I\'m not able to generate any of the effects from your bots. I\'ve used both your Reflect & Corner programs and all I see is just the picture (no effect). My test link is;

I copied the syntex directly from the bot changing only the path and filename. I\'ve viewed this link with IE6, FF and Netscape and still don\'t see the bot\'s effect. Could this be a javascript or template issue?

Hi Ed,

I had a couple of comments that it didn\'t work. I found out, that this was cause because Joomla! is installed in a subdirectory. I placed it on the list of \"known bugs\" and hope to fix it soon.

I\'ll keep on updating this article.

Worked for pages with images b

What a great plugin. I installed and tried the mambot and it worked great in IE7 for pages _with_ images. I had a \"Stack Overflow Error\" for pages without images, however. Many of my visitors emailed me to tell me that they received this error message, as a popup dialog box that they had to cancel each page load. It seemed that for me, the pattern was simply that the error appeared only on pages without images included with the plugin.
I have removed the mambot now because I don\'t want to include an image on every page on my site (Over 3500 pages currently - thats a lot of editing).

Anyway, was fun to play around with the mambot and it gave a really nice effect. If you were to release a new version without the error, then I would more than gladly install again.

Great work, well done.

Marco,
I just download your Version 1.2, 2008 of mfReflex and I\'m still not able to see the reflection effect on my (subdirectory) blog site. I un-installed ver. 1.1 and installed ver. 1.2, I downloaded the reflex.js file and placed it into the mambots/contents folder and used the following syntax ({mfreflex food/06-springhs_champs_thm.jpg|Logo|right|90|5|10|none}
)to activate this bot. The direct link to my mfReflex image page is, http://www.edhathaway.com/blog/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=102&Itemid=93. Did I miss anything to get your bot to work on my subdirectory web page?

As it turns out the JCE Utility mambot was the application causing all sorts of problems and issues with not only [color=red][b]mfReflex[/b][/color] but a host of other 3rd Party java based applications. I\'ve included an example of [color=red][b]mfReflex[/b][/color] onto my Home Page in the article entitled, Winter Wonderland!

Hello Marco,
First of all congratulations for your astounding work !
I only wish I could get it to work :(

So here is my geeky question :
How do I apply the mfReflex script in the HTML code in the following basic case to the image \"articles.jpg\" (I tried but failed miserably :confused: ) :

[code]New! YOOsliderKeep playing with the new YOOslider module. Learn more... [/code]

This code extract comes from the basic code of a YooTheme template I installed yesterday, and like Don, I am using Joomla! 1.5 in legacy mode and the plugin install went fine (My install is local using Xammp Lite).

I\'m a server side programmer (PHP) and have very little idea about client side programming hence my silly question :dry:

One has to learn, and in our jobs we have to keep on learning or die

Thanks in advance for your help, I can\'t wait to see your script working !

Hi there although I appreciate the JCE Plugin is there not a way to make it a bit more ºautomaticº?
So one adds the image and then the plugin surrounds the selected image (url html code) with the basic syntax?
It would make things a lot simpler for my normal type of client.
OR perhaps a mambot version that will overide every image in a category/Section?
Thanks

VirtueMart uses other methods for publishing images. You would have to re-write VirtueMart\'s engine in the picture-publishing part.
