Wow.. That\'s a cool lil proggy.. I often play flash games when i get bored while listening to some songs. The flash sounds sometimes get a lil too irritating.. Thanks for the recommendation again.. Preciate that..

It works, thanks a lot

It works indeed. I must admit, the first time I was too quick on the trigger and un-installed it after not getting it to work right away. I then gave it a second chance, and this time I right-clicked to check the RMB menu if there was one. Indeed it was (d\'oh). I could turn off the sound there, and IT WORKED! I use Opera and it works flawlessly. Finally I can enjoy listening to my favorite music again when surfing the web :)

As far as I can tell, the only \"evil\" thing it does, is putting advertising in your system. But I will try something else, so thanks for the warnings.

not a malware

No, it is neither a malware nor infected, it is just because there is malware with the same name and that antiviruses are not able to make the difference.

I never had any ads with this during several years of use.

But recently, flashmute does not work anymore on my system for an unknown reason, I am looking for something else.
What will you try Haavard Lund?

I am so disappointed that us no longer works. I think it has something to do with a new flash codec.

But you are right, in years of use, no ads or malware.

I ended up using this, after all

Hi m@ch3,

I stand corrected.

I was being a bit over-cautious but ended up using it after all, and I have had no issues with it since. It\'s saved my hearing (and sanity) when browsing video and audio heavy websites and I really appreciate having it!

Regards,
