Dvorak was created from a scientific perspective: the keys that are used the most are the easiest to type, and easiest to reach. It may take time to get used to, but people who can learn dvorak can type much quicker than the rest of us. WASD used for moving the \"Hero\" and Mouse used for aiming, and most of the keys near WASD are used for stuff like Jump, Duck, Flashlight, Reload, ... and so on you get the picture. Also, 1-9 are usually weapon select.
