mfBeer: A PayPal donation plugin for Joomla!

mfBeer

mfBeer is a Joomla! plugin that allows you to add a "buy-me-a-beer" PayPal donation text at the bottom of each article. The original idea was from the Buy-me-a-beer Wordpress plugin.

The message created is very flexible, highly customizable and based on how to create a valid CSS alert message.

Want to kindly ask your visitors to donate some money? mfBeer is the anser!

Disabling the plugin in defined sections
Customizing the message & icon
Customizing the full message box
And more!

Configuration

First, you'll have to order the plugin after Email Cloaking . Now open up the plugin settings and change the variables on how you would like to see it. Don't forget to change the PayPal e-mail address to your own.

The following images are provided in this package. They are all from Iconspedia.

If you want to add more images, make sure you add them to the following directory: mambots/content/mfbeer

Install

Log in to your back-end of the site
Go to "Installers", "Mambots"
Click on "Browse" and navigate to the downloaded ZIP archive
Press "Upload File & Install"
Go to "Mambots", "Site Mambots"
Search for mfBeer
Order it right after Email Cloaking
Publish the mambot

As you can see, this plugin is now only available for Joomla! 1.0.x. I'm working on a 1.5 version.

I can't get it to work...
the site goes white after install even if the mambot isn't published.

After uninstall site is fine again. I tried to do site debug for some info for you but no luck.

Try unpacking the .ZIP archive on your local machine. After that, pack the files yourself to a .ZIP file and upload that new file. Should work, good luck!
