Technorati is one of the most powerful search engines for blogs. You can organize your favorite blogs, check if you have reactions about your blog and much, much more. I created a module that is available for Joomla! 1.0.x and Joomla! 1.5 that allows you to show off your Technorati blog reactions with a chart. It's called mfTechnoratiChart and uses the build-in engine of Technorati, so you'll always have the latest results. It's time to show off your hard work and let people know that many other bloggers are talking about you. Of course you can use this module free of charge.

Install on Joomla! 1.0.x

1. Log in to your back-end of the site
2. Go to "Installers", "Modules"
3. Click on "Browse" and navigate to the downloaded ZIP archive
4. Press "Upload File & Install"
5. Go to "Modules", "Site Modules"
6. Search for mfTechnoratiChart and edit it
7. Set your parameters
8. Save and publish the module

Install on Joomla! 1.5

1. Log in to your back-end of the site
2. Go to "Extensions", "Install/Uninstall"
3. Click on "Browse" and navigate to the downloaded ZIP archive
4. Press "Upload File & Install"
5. Go to "Extensions", "Module Managerl"
6. Search for mfTechnoratiChart and edit it
7. Set your parameters
8. Save and publish the module

How to use

Just make sure you enter the correct URL to your blog in the module settings without the http:// part.

Module parameters:

1. Blog URL - The URL of the blog you want to see the chart of without the http://
2. Width (px) - The width of the chart image
3. Height (px) - The height of the chart image
4. Number of Days - Set the numbers of days you want to show
5. Link to blog reactions - Link the chart to your blog reactions
6. Link - Link the chart to another URL

Marco   2008-02-20 17:20:14 Hi Teddy, Ah I see, I understand now. The way this website is structured, is still the "good old way". In fact, this is still Joomla! 1.0.x . I'm running ARTIO JoomSEF for the SEF URL's and added a Google searchable sitemap. The reset is just "basic Joomla!". Have to admit, I always fill in the "keywords / description" at each article, to make it a little bit search engine optimized. Hope that answers your question . Reply | Quote
